Rankings are Determined on an Hourly Basis
What does this mean? If your book has at least one sale, and in the next hour you happen to have more sales than the #1 book in our category, then on the next hourly update your book will take over. Then YOUR book will be #1in your selected category, and the other book will be #2.
All book rankings on Amazon are relative. That means it is not just about hitting a specific number of sales; you have to sell more books than the competition in a specific category over a given period of time to outrank them.
How to find Your Book’s Ranking … If You’ve Sold the Most Books in Your Category Over the Last Hour
ü Go to your page on Amazon.
ü Select the print version of your book.
ü Scroll down to BOOK DETAILS.
ü Scroll to BEST SELLERS RANK.
ü Click on your category.
ü You will find your book on your category BEST SELLERS PAGE.
ü It will have a Ranking Number next to it.
ü Click on the IMAGE of Your Book.
ü Your Book’s Page will now say #1Best Seller.
